Another piece done...
Well, it started with this $10 dresser/changing table.... it was beat up and had a horrible finish....

With a lot of elbow greese and hard work, it's now an amazing piece for a future nursery....
I haven't decided what exactly to do with the hardware yet, but it will just make it look even better once it's done....

Five F's
Not it's not a new way to curse... : )
First step was to lay out the canvases and see how much space they would take up. Then we taped off and painted the accent color.
I still need to putty and touch up paint to complete the frame, but it's good enough for now.

When Nick and I got married the pastor spoke of the five F's needed for a great marriage.
Faith, Forgivness, Family, Fun, and Friends
I always knew I wanted to incorporate these into our home somewhere. After many hours spend on Pinterest I found a few ideas of inspiration.
Enter 5 blank canvases, some wood letters, white spray paint, and some moulding.
First step was to lay out the canvases and see how much space they would take up. Then we taped off and painted the accent color. After that it was to the miter saw to cut the molding. (I have a new respect for people that install crown moulding or why custom framing is SO expensive.)
I still need to putty and touch up paint to complete the frame, but it's good enough for now.I put the letters on the canvas and spray painted them white today. Here are some pictures of the final product.

I crave color...
I decided to paint the master bathroom this weekend....
I'm not completely done yet (the 'water closet' still needs a coat), but love the color a lot. It's SW Halcyon Green. It's amazing how well it goes with the bedroom color...

Pardon the mess... Even us professional painters make a mess... ; )

Yard Sale Touchdown!!!
Mallory and Derek were in town this weekend and we went yard saling. I didn't start out with much luck, but Mallory got some lamps, pillows, and a few extras. Towards the end of the day I hit the MOTHER LOOOOAAAD!!! Check out this dresser changing table piece I got for $10. That's right just TEN buck-a-roos. I'm going to order some Annie Sloan chalk paint and paint this piece some shade of gray. (with a future nursery in mind, it needs to be neutral)
I also got this mirror at the same yard sale for just $2. Yep that's two smacks!
While in Albertvile for Mallory's wedding, I went across the street trash diving and found this chair. FO FREE!!! I can't wait to slap a bright color and some great fabric on it.

While Nick's parents were in town we also went yard saling. I found these 2 end tables for one of the guest rooms. I can't wait to paint them and see the transformation.
We also got a $5 wooden painters ladder, I got some frames, and odds and ends for the house. It was an over all good time.
